Nasdaq Presentation

In 2023, we did a thing. A pretty big thing, if you ask us. We were asked by Nasdaq’s (yep, that Nasdaq) Entrepreneurial Center to present our lecture, “What Makes a Great Brand?”, in a remote setting to 100+ entrepreneurs from all over the world.

“What Makes a Great Brand?” isn’t just some, run-of-the-mill slideshow with a couple talking heads. It’s breakdown of our proprietary brand development process we implement for all of our clients at Stan Can Design.

For 45 minutes, we waxed poetic about the power and potential of a proper brand, the key elements that comprise them, and why any company, no matter the size or status, needs a good one to be successful. It was truly pivotal chapter in the Stan Can story thus far.

But 45 minutes is long. And while it was over in the blink of an eye for us, we understand if people don’t want to sit through the whole thing.

(cough) Even if it was wildly insightful (cough).

So we went through and pulled all of our favorite moments, big ideas, and lessons learned from our decades of combined experience. We present to you: years of expertise condensed into 45 minutes condensed into mere seconds.

If you’re not one to shy away from director’s cuts, the full length presentation can be viewed here.

"Brand identity informs the visual identity, not the other way around."

"Logos and brands get their value from the products and services they represent, not vice versa."

"With branding, we can take the things our company cares about and present them in a way that makes our audience care, too."

"When your product is M&Ms, it probably makes sense to love letters."

"No matter what sized company you are, you stand to benefit from defining your brand pillars."
