Tolles Graphic Standards

For Tolles, we developed an extensive Graphic Standards guide to protect and strengthen their brand identity. Often called a Brand Guidelines or Style Guide, this document serves as a manual for visually and verbally representing the brand consistently across all platforms—from business cards to digital ads. Consistency in these elements not only builds brand recognition but also reinforces trust and credibility.

Logo Usage: Clear guidance on logo size, placement, spacing, and color variations, including what to avoid to maintain brand integrity. Color Palette: Detailed breakdowns of primary and secondary brand colors, complete with CMYK, RGB, HEX, and Pantone values for accurate reproduction. Typography: Approved fonts for print and digital, including hierarchy rules (e.g., headlines vs. body copy) to ensure readability and brand cohesion. Imagery Style: Recommendations for photography, illustrations, or icons that align with the brand’s visual tone.

Why does a graphic standard matter? This guide provides a clear system with examples to support Tolles in-house team, ensuring consistency without stifling creativity. While comprehensive, these standards aren’t a replacement for professional design expertise, and our team remains available for projects that require a more experienced eye.

It’s worth noting that Graphic Standards typically come at the end of the visual identity process. They formalize decisions made along the way, providing structure and clarity for the future. A nicely printed version of this guide not only adds a tangible weight to the brand but also leaves a lasting impression—perfect for meetings or presentations. These high-quality publications are surprisingly affordable and deliver lasting value.

For flexibility and easy updates, we also developed a digital version, ensuring the brand can adapt and evolve as needed. See: https://logos-stancandesign.com/tolles/
