copywriter
Raised by a scrapbook-obsessed mom and an award-winning creative director dad, Sadie grew up surrounded by glitter, glue sticks, and graphic design. When Stan Can Design was founded in 2008, she was just six years old, storming the home office in a tutu and pink cowgirl hat, trailing Cheerios, and demanding Elmo be played loudly on the work computer before kindergarten. In high school, summers were spent archiving files and running errands, not fully grasping how cool her dad (and his job) really were.
Fast forward to college, and Sadie cashed in her nepotism chips—proudly—and stepped into the office as an official intern. She earned her BFA in English Creative Writing with a minor in Art Studio from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2024. Her left brain is wired for storytelling and brand voice; her right brain is busy hyperfocusing on the next craft available, or plotting her next passport stamp.
In her free time she is usually found participating in an “old lady’s” craft… often having a crochet hook or needlepoint canvas in hand. In between fiber arts you might find her throwing pottery on the wheel or sitting at an easel with a paintbrush in hand fighting color theory. She loves em dashes and Oxford commas so much she’ll defend them to the death—and probably write your eulogy with perfect punctuation.
She’s not just a writer—she’s a builder of brand personalities, a champion of consistency, and a firm believer that the words you choose matter. Her knack for thoughtful, emotionally intelligent messaging found a home in roles like PR Chair for Dance Marathon (where she ran social, designed collateral, and helped raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals) and Executive Vice President of Sigma Kappa, where she managed risk, rewrote policy, and created support systems for a chapter of 120+ women.
A 12-year Girl Scout with a Silver Award under her belt, Sadie’s always had a project, a purpose, or a punchy headline on hand. She believes in working hard, making messes, cleaning them up (eventually), and finding joy in the details. She now lives with her (probably five-year-old) rescue cat Sally, skis in the winter, surfs in the summer, and will step on a skateboard only to hang out with her dad.
