Artown BRAND

Every July, Reno becomes Artown. For a whole month, the city lights up with free concerts, plays, dance performances, art shows… you name it. It’s one of those times when every corner of Reno feels like it’s buzzing with creativity.

Each year, Artown picks a local artist to set the look and feel of the festival, with their artwork taking center stage on the official poster. That’s where we come in: we get to team up with these artists and turn their creations into posters that cover the city. Sometimes that’s all it takes, but other years we’ve helped expand artwork into logos, identity systems, and all kinds of supporting designs that keep the festival feeling cohesive.

In years like 2017 and 2019, we were lucky enough to be apart of the creative process from the very beginning, working side by side with the artists to help shape the artwork itself. It’s always a mix of celebrating their vision while making sure it translates into something that represents the festival everywhere you see it.
